Chelsea Zachary: Bio

Chelsea Zachary is a singer, writer, choir director, vocal music coach, actor, and model. She is a graduate of the Creative Arts High School. She was a member of its concert choir which has traveled extensively winning many awards. She performed a solo with the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Chelsea is a member of the gospel singing group, God's Own (G.O.), and has had several years of training in Jazz, Tap, and Ballet dancing.

Chelsea was one of the top three finalists who performed live in Detroit at the Motor City Casino in Steve Harvey's Radio Star Contest in June 2009.

In 2009 and 2008, Chelsea won Gold and Silver medals for her classical and contemporary vocal performances in the regional ACT-SO competitions (ACT-SO is Academic, Cultural, Technological, and Scientific Olympics sponsored by the NAACP).

In April 2008, Chelsea won the "Outstanding Soloist" award in Orlando, Florida's Fiesta-Val Choral Competition. She won First Place in her category and First Place overall at the 2008 Omega Talent Hunt held at the Walt Whitman Center in Camden, NJ, and she won Second Place in 2007.

She really shined in the lead role of the high school musical, "Fame". Her energy, spirit, and passion as Erzulie, the goddess of love, in “Once On This Island”, dazzled the audience and brought life to the stage.

In September 2007, Chelsea’s dramatic vocal performance thrilled the audience at Rutgers University's Gordon Theater where Mr. Ben White was honored by "The Spirit of Camden Resurrection of Dance" show.

Chelsea has recorded professionally, and she is the lead vocalist on the song, "Heart of Camden", on Kelly Lynn's "No Greater Force" CD. She is also a featured background vocalist on the same CD.
